Take a one-day class

Chances are there are lots of one-day classes offered by your local school system or a nearby community centre. This might be a few hours learning about bartending, photography, painting or sculpture, gourmet cooking, chocolate making, or creative writing. Consider the interests and hobbies of all the girls and choose something everyone would love to learn about.

Pottery

Local pottery shops often have rooms you can book with an instructor, who will walk you through making your own pot or other simple item. These items can then be painted and kiln-dried while you have coffee or a nice dinner, and they will be ready to go when you return!

Note if the orchard also offers quick instruction on making jams, pies, and other sweet treats with your fresh fruit, so you can make a full day of your time there.

There's nothing like a relaxing trip to the spa with your friends to make you feel refreshed and rejuvenated! Many day spas offer package deals with a discount on everyone's services, including a massage, manicures and pedicures, and facials. Depending on your budget, you might also choose a hair treatment or haircut and blowout, along with makeup application. This is especially good if the girl's day out is in preparation for a big event that same evening, for which you'll want to look your best!
